With two new dynamic and customizable co-op communities slated to break ground soon in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro, and another following shortly, Midwest Real Estate News sat down with Lifestyle Cooperatives President Dena Meyer to learn why the Twin Cities market is a good one for new co-op development and why this type of housing is attractive to buyers today.
In her interview with Midwest Real Estate News, Dena highlighted the ownership and community benefits of the unique co-op living model, as well as what makes each of Artessa’s Minnesota developments, Mound Harbor, Golden Valley, and the upcoming Canterbury Crossing, different from typical “retirement communities” in the area.
“Cooperative living is a great option for older adults who are seeking the simplicity and convenience of maintenance-free living in an amenity-rich community, but also want to maintain their pride of homeownership,” Dena told Midwest Real Estate News. “It provides maximum affordability and provides members with financial predictability.”
As interest in Artessa Living’s co-op living concept increases in the Twin Cities region, the company has plans to expand to the greater Midwest and Southwest soon.
